A new “Godzilla” animated feature film: “Godzilla: Monster Planet” has been previewed in the Work in Progress section of the Annecy animation festival in June. It is the first Godzilla animated film in the monster’s 60-year history, and will be released as a trilogy in Japan starting November 17 before arriving world-wide on Netflix.

Adi Shankar, the producer of Netflix’s upcoming Castlevania animated TV series based on the classic Konami videogame, has announced via video on Youtube that Graham McTavish (Dwalin in the Hobbit) and Richard Armitage (The Hobbit’s Thorin Oakensheild) have joined the voice cast of the show.

Despite the controversy surrounding the lack of Asian casting in Netflix’s upcoming live action Death Note, signs are looking promising that the film could live up to the excellent original Manga, if the stark new posters posted on Twitter are anything to go by.
